What's on offer?

There will be three Connects on offer: Connect Kids for young people in P5-P7, Connect Juniors for young people in S1-S3 and Connect Seniors for young people in S4-S6.

FCYC Connect gives you the opportunity to meet up with young people from all over, as well as catching up with some of your leaders from camp!

How do we sign up?

You can sign up and pay online – see below.  The cost is £10 per person and this will go towards craft materials and books that we’ll be sending out. Make sure you sign up by 31st May!

If you’d like to come and you won’t be able to pay, please sign up anyway and just make that clear on the form!

How will it work?

FCYC Connect will take place on Zoom for around an hour each evening. You’ll get to take part in exciting challenges, silly games and group discussions, as well as hearing more about the most amazing connection of all, between the Creator of the entire universe and the human beings He made, He loves and He saves.

Any Questions?

There’ll be no pressure on anyone to say anything, although we hope you’ll feel relaxed and comfortable enough to speak if you’d like to! If you want to ask questions, answer questions, or respond to any of the crazy challenges, we hope that the informal, fun vibe of FCYC Connect will mean that you’re more than happy to speak up. If you want to just listen and not say a word, that’s OK too!

We’d like everyone to have their camera on if possible, because it’s easier for everyone to see who they’re connecting with! Ideally we’d like you to be in a family room or space. If you don’t have a webcam but you’re still able to call in without a video, you’re still welcome!

Great! If you have more than one device at home you can choose whether to log on separately, or you can share the same device.

We’ve organised Connect Kids, Connect Juniors and Connect Seniors at different times so that if you only have one device, you can all still attend the Connect for your age group (just make sure you’re able to charge the device if needed!). If possible, we’d like young people to stick to their age groups so that the teaching is relevant and so that you can meet other young people your age. You may even make friends that you can meet in person at FCYC next summer!

YES! Please do! All young people are welcome to come along to FCYC Connect. Just like camp, the activities and talks will be accessible to everyone in your age group, no matter their background or whether they have any church connection. Plus, there’ll be no waiting list this year so you can be sure that any friends you invite will definitely get a place.

We plan to send out books (for older age groups) and craft kits (for younger age groups), and this money will help cover these costs. The cost will be the same even if you have siblings who are also coming along, so that we can send out individual packs. If paying £10 will be a problem for you, don’t let that stop you coming – just sign up anyway and let the Camps Coordinator know via the sign-up form.

Don’t worry – just tune in to the next one! We hope you’ll be able to come along all week so that you can get the most out of FCYC Connect and can get to know everyone, but if you miss one please just come along to the next one.

If you have a Bible, a notebook and a pen you could bring those along. For Connect Kids, you’ll be sent a pack beforehand with crafts/activities to do so don’t forget to bring those along too!

If you have a question that isn’t answered here, you can get in touch with Kirsten (FCYC Coordinator) directly via the contact form or using the details at the bottom of this page.

Invite your friends!

You can invite school friends, friends from camp, friends from church, neighbours…
All are welcome to FCYC Connect!
